I’m glad you’re here because together we are going to find stillness right in the middle of our crazy and loud lives.
I’ve struggled with worry and anxiety. My story is one of many triumphs and plenty of failures (learning opportunities). It’s easy for me to get caught up in conditions and react rather than respond. I’ve spent way too much time playing out scenarios in my mind and worrying about things that never came to pass.
Together let’s find some margin or space in our lives and Be Still in spite of circumstances or conditions. Let’s create a safe space to explore ways to silence the distractions and awaken to God’s Presence. In the stillness we grow into the person we were created to be and nurture meaningful and authentic relationships.
Along the way I’ll be sharing tools and resources that have helped me as Bob Goff says, “Be where my feet are.” I’ll be inviting friends and people I respect to contribute to our toolkits.
The above picture was taken during a short getaway to the beach. My son and I walked for hours along the shoreline. The loud and agitated Gulf of Mexico and all the activity on the beach as I quieted my mind and became fully present was the perfect metaphor for this project. I grabbed a piece of driftwood, drug it through the wet sand and snapped this photo.
